My Project

I love how creative, curious, and expressive my students are. Every day, they come into the art room full of ideas and eager to make something meaningful. They are not afraid to take risks, try new things, or think outside the box. Even when something doesn’t turn out the way they planned, they are resilient. They keep going, make adjustments, and often end up creating something even more powerful than they imagined. Their passion for art and willingness to grow inspire me every single day.

What makes their creativity even more meaningful is when they have access to high-quality materials that match their energy and ambition.

Tools like Posca paint markers and Prismacolor colored pencils offer vibrant color, smooth application, and artistic versatility that basic classroom supplies can’t. These materials will allow students to develop advanced skills in layering, shading, and detail work, which will help them turn their creative ideas into polished, professional-looking pieces. More importantly, these tools send a powerful message: their ideas matter, and their art is worth the best materials.

My goal for this project is to give all of my 5th - 8th grade students the opportunity to feel like real artists. When they use professional - grade supplies, they take greater pride in their work, push their creative boundaries, and build confidence in themselves. My students are special because they bring such heart, imagination, and determination to their artwork. With your support, I know they’ll continue to grow, not just as artists, but as bold, thoughtful, and expressive young people.
