My Students

My students come from all walks of life, creating a diverse classroom where they learn from one another on a daily basis. I want them to grow up to be critical thinkers and life-long learners who are compassionate, empathetic, and cognizant of anyone and everyone. The students who I have the pleasure of teaching are absolutely amazing. I may be partial, but they are thoughtful teenagers who are going to change the world.

It is time to invest in their futures now, by bringing them the best educational tools to help them succeed in their current and future endeavors in order to create innovative leaders of the future with social-emotional intelligence to build their character, kindness, mindfulness, and empathy.

I try to do this every day, but it really does take a village!

My Project

The resources in this project like expanding portfolios, pencils, pens, sticky tabs, etc., can help students to create portfolios of their classroom work.

Students need to stay organized and have a place to showcase their work--Portfolio Perfection is that project that can help the students organize and showcase their work by providing basic, but essential, classroom supplies.

This project will support student's learning by allowing them to look at their work, reflect on what they have learned, and share their learning with others both inside and outside of the classroom. Studies have shown that classroom portfolios improve learning and allow students to choose the pieces that they want to showcase.
