My Students
We run a year round calendar with only three total weeks per year with no students on campus. Our scholars have consistently sustained high student achievements and recognition: School of Excellence, School of Distinction, Honor School of Excellence.
Our instructional program immerses our scholars in interactive learning opportunities using digital tools to increase engagement and participation in collaborative tasks, problem solving, creativity and critical thinking in order to prepare them for their future.
As a school community we highly value purposeful instruction, community support, and hold high standards of accountability for everyone involved. Also, as a school family we value collaboration and opportunities to grow.
My Project
BrainPOP will be used by our teachers, students and families to reinforce all subject areas for all level learners. All educators will use BrainPOP because it has educational videos to help bridge gaps in learning and also quench thirst of knowledge through animation of objectives.
The visuals and demonstrations break down information into easy bites.
It reinforces key words and vocabulary with world examples. From the "Elements of Art" and "Vincent Van Gogh" to "The Mysteries of Life" that explain the work of Georgia O'Keeffe and Frida Kahlo to the upper grades. Videos cover complex ideas in a kid-friendly way.
