My Project
With the Holidays coming up, my students asked if they could watch a movie and eat popcorn before the winter break. When looking at popcorn at the store so many of them are already saturated in butter or oil and are not as healthy as popcorn is alone.
Having a hot air popper and popcorn kernels would allow my students to make healthy popcorn in the classroom when we need a snack.
We can add spray butter/oil or seasoning to flavor, and I can teach students about serving sizes. Having a hot air popper will also allow me to teach students about healthy snacks and how to make them. The cups will help with showing students proportions and help with serving the popcorn. The cups will also help promote drinking water to go with our snack.
