This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are unique individuals who come to school daily, ready to learn and be a part of our school community. They may face daily challenges outside the classroom, but by providing the needed resources to successfully learn each day, their success in life becomes attainable.
These books will continue to open our students' joy of reading and enhance their reading skills while having a book in their hands to call their own.
I want our students to have accessibility to an equal education. These chapter books and will allow them to enjoy stories outside their reading lessons. Our students will eagerly look forward to our daily chapter book reading time! This will prompt them to have conversations in which they share their thoughts and ideas in what is occurring in the story, along with making connections. The dialogue is a valuable piece to to their second language acquisition. The popcorn will be popped and shared while reading, making a loving, lasting memory in their life. My intent is to keep education alive and engaging by giving them as many positive, caring learning opportunities as possible.
