This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our beloved popcorn machine popped it's last kernel. Our students love popcorn! We use it often as an incentive for attendance, or as a reward for reaching a goal.

Popcorn is a perfect way to engage students in a variety of lessons.

It is often incorporated in ELAR as a tasty treat after completing a book study on a book about popcorn. You might be surprised by how many children's books are written around this salty snack!

Popcorn is also a great tool for Science. So many engaging and hands on experiments can be conducted with a simple kernel of corn.

We are heartbroken over the loss of our popcorn machine and the fact that our school budget simply does not cover the cost of a new one. Our students and staff would be overjoyed by the gift of a new machine.
