Help me give my students a popcorn maker, nacho cheese warmer and cricut machine to help in fundraising for school projects and trips and learn how to manage finances.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is an exceptional 7-12 grade public charter school. Our students come to us from all walks of life: free and reduced-price lunch, English Language Learners, special education needs, and gifted student population.
Our students are ambitious entrepreneurs who wish to raise funds to support various educational and extracurricular events for the entire student body.
Our student council and other booster clubs realize the importance of fundraising to support their needs. Being financially literate, our students would like to invest in.
My Project
Our student council and PTA are very active in fundraising to support several school causes. Students, teachers, and parents are constantly working hard to support students in taking Advanced Placement Exams, mentoring and tutoring our middle school students, and organizing national and international school trips.
Our student council has requested for a popcorn machine and nacho cheese warmer to raise funds for various student causes.
The student council and other booster clubs will sell popcorn and nachos during basketball games and school dance parties to raise funds. Students will be required to keep a record of costs - popcorn kernels, butter, flavor salts, corn chips, nacho cheese, serving paper boats, etc. They will then learn how to maintain books, keeping track of profits during the school year. Students will also use a cricut machine will allow students to create t-shirts and sway in-house to promote school spirit and raise funds for booster clubs.
The ultimate goal is for students to be able to estimate what their profits will be during the school year.
