I'm a dedicated special education teacher at my middle high school, where I work closely with students who have severe cognitive disabilities. In my role as a transition teacher, I am deeply committed to equipping my students with the essential skills they need to thrive beyond the classroom.
One of the initiatives I am eager to implement is a livelihood skills program aimed at empowering our students through practical vocational training.
Specifically, I envision introducing a popcorn-making enterprise within our school store. This endeavor not only provides valuable hands-on experience but also fosters a sense of independence, pride, and community engagement among our students.
