My Students
Eagerness, dedication, and commitment to learning are qualities that come to mind when I think about my third-grade superheroes. I've seen these little, awesome people transform into a family right before my eyes. They are loving, caring, and hilarious! All of my students are low-income students on free lunch. Some of them come from single-parent households. Despite these disadvantages, their thirst for knowledge has never swayed. Through their commitment to becoming the best students they can become, they have quickly moved into a special place in my heart.
My Project
My students will solidify their understanding of place value and number sense by using this hands on approach to learning. My students are already in love with the latest crave, pop its, as seen on Tik Tok. They also love the idea of place value. However, the latter concept has not gained full mastery. But with the help of the former, my students will quickly gain these much needed skills by having my students use kinesthetic activities to foster learning. They will truly gain a deeper understanding for abstract ideas by using these concrete measures, by counting using the pop its. Thank you for your generosity.
