My Students
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 100% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is located in the Bronx.
My students need to experience a what it is to run a business.
We need to create a reality for these students. This will help make their goals realistic to see the work in a tangible way. We need assistance with our trade needs, and we are hoping that you may be that person who believes in us and helps us achieve our goals.
My Project
The popcorn machine will help us make the popcorn. The shaker will help us pour the seasoning onto the popcorn. We will be selling this popcorn and hot dogs to the other students at our school. We will be selling to students during school events. The money raised will fund our program as resources are limited. However, even more important than the money is the fact that we will learn how to work together to advertise our business, make the popcorn, and hot dogs, collect cash, count out money, and sell the product.
All of the donations will make a difference because the students will learn a lot.
Specifically, they will learn how to interact with customers. Having two way conversations can be hard for some students. Now they will be able to market their product by making signs, process an order, make change, give them the popcorn or hot dog.
