Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The supplies we are trying to obtain will allow me to teach my students a new genre of art; we will be able to focus on pop art. I will be able to introduce my students to the world of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, just to name a few artists. The students will be able to use different types of paper and drawing techniques using pencils, paint markers, and stencils. This will boost their creativity and they will be able to think differently in planning their art. The students will be making iconic pop art like the Campbell Soup painting that has made pop art famous to this day.
