This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am teaching AP Biology this next school year and would love to get the full curriculum for the AP Biology Labs. I am finishing up teaching AP Biology this year and it was a lackluster experience with limited labs unlike what it should be. My school does not have a science supply budget and has not been able to update our lab supplies for the AP Biology class since the curriculum was updated four years ago. While I can likely can piece together some materials for some labs from our current supplies, it will require multiple hours of my own time to even try tracking down all of the materials and equipment, let alone likely finding expired or unusable chemicals if even found.

The purchase of the full AP Biology lab kits will ensure my students get the full AP science lab experience.

This purchase will allow me to spend time on other more meaningful tasks like giving individual feedback on student lab reports as well as time to create meaningful classroom materials to better prepare them for the AP exam.
