My Students
My students come from an extremely blighted, dangerous area of our city. Many of them come to school hungry, tired, stressed out and seeking attention in any way they know how. A portion of these students have experienced severe trauma, while a handful of others don't get their basic needs met at home.
My students do not have the luxury of having enough PE equipment for the entire class to practice the new skills I would like to teach them.
I am trying to teach my students new skills and activities which will allow them to become lifelong learners and movers.
My Project
The tape will allow me to quickly set up small sided games and activities, without having it be permanent. The Poly Bones sets is a great teaching tool for my students to learn where all the bones are within their bodies.
The Poly Bones sets will allow my students to learn about all of the bones in their body in a fun and exciting new way.
The Poly Bones are a creative way to put their skeleton together.
I have used this activity during student teaching and my students really enjoyed racing against the clock to be the first team done putting their bones together. I would love to bring this game and activity to my students.
