Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, our school comes together with the incredible support of our community to create a prom night our students will never forget. This year, our Decorations Club is dreaming big and bold with a Pop Art Met Gala theme that celebrates creativity, color, and student driven design, with support from our Art Club and other artistic students across the school.

Imagine walking into a space bursting with vibrant colors, dramatic lighting, and eye catching decor inspired by iconic pop art and red carpet glamour.

What makes this prom especially meaningful is that many of the decorations will be designed and created by students themselves. Members of the Decorations Club, Art Club, and other creative students will work together using markers, tape, and tissue paper to craft bold backdrops, custom accents, and artistic details that transform the venue into a living gallery.

To bring this vision to life, we are requesting markers, tape, and tissue paper for hands on creation, along with table runners to turn everyday tables into gallery worthy displays, additional decor pieces to elevate the space, and party lights to set the mood and make the entire room glow.

For many of our students, prom is more than just a dance. It is a once in a lifetime milestone and a chance to feel confident, celebrated, and proud of something they helped create.

These student made and professionally styled elements will work together to completely transform our venue, turning it into a Met Gala inspired celebration where every student feels like a VIP the moment they walk through the doors.

Your support helps us create an inclusive, joyful experience rooted in creativity, collaboration, and community. With your help, prom night will not just be a dance. It will be a celebration of student talent, imagination, and support.
