My Students

My students love using the library for many different and unique needs. The library has always been a safe haven for many. Equal access to tools in the library ensures that I can reach all my students' needs. Makerspaces are being infused into our school libraries. A key element for this unique space is creation.

Students love to create various products as an unique way to express themselves and/or show their learning in a different medium.

Co-teaching with teachers helps emphasize the strengths each teacher brings to their students. I continuously look for resources that can be utilized by the entire building. Resources in the library are available to all staff and students. The accessibility to materials through the library benefits everyone.

My Project

Our library has become a learning commons with a makerspace addition. Students often seek out unique ways to create and explore. Both students and teachers find the library the perfect place to explore, to seek resources, to gather, and to put the final touches on their projects.

The Cricut Explore Air2 would provide the opportunity to enhance their school projects as well as inspire their creativity.

Students and teachers alike will find the Circuit useful for creating posters, bulletin boards and greeting cards. They will also find it a must-have tool for creating winning entries for the library contests. One such contest has the students create diaramas depicting a scene from a favorite book. Creativity will know no bounds. Engaging both students and teachers, the creativity of Circuit will enhance pride in our work and play.
