Pokémon Club: A Chance to Relax, Read And Recuperate

Help me give my students items needed to start a Pokemon Club, such as Battle Academy games to help students learn to play, binders and card sleeves.

My Project

I am starting a new club at our school, and we have 20 students grades K-8 on the roster and more on the waiting list! I work at a school with only about 100 students, our students are mostly Native. These kids work hard all day at school (I know, I help K-4 learn to read and write) and deserve a space to rest, practice reading in a fun way, and recover from school. I am also a child and adolescent counselor in training and while this club is not therapy, it is designed to provide a safe space.

The school has paid for some Pokemon cards to get started, but with this many students signed up I need support to provide them all they need to have a great experience.

We need items to make the training room we hold the club in comfortable (seating), Battle Academy games to help the kids learn the game, and themed books of various levels levels for the kids to practice reading.
