My Project

Poke-a-dot books offer a unique tactile and auditory experience that can be incredibly beneficial for students with sensory needs. The act of pushing and popping the raised dots on each page provides satisfying tactile input which can be calming and help students focus. The accompanying "pop" sound offers auditory stimulation that can be engaging without being overwhelming, making it a positive sensory experience. The Playskool elephant allow for multiple textures as well as moving balls to support students with sensory needs. These books and toys incorporate a variety of tactile experiences and varied sensory input.

For students who seek sensory input, these books and toys can provide a safe and controlled way to explore textures and sounds, potentially reducing sensory-seeking behaviors in other contexts.

The various sensory features can be intentionally used to help students regulate their sensory input and maintain focus, making them versatile and supportive toys for diverse learning needs.
