My Project
I am a speech-language pathologist in a Title I, urban school district. I work with students who have speech and language delays and disorders. The majority of them are in the early grades and are working on developing their vocabulary and/ or semantic skills.
These Poke-A-Dot books are perfect for teaching expressive and receptive language.
I will be able to develop literacy- based therapy sessions using these books that target vocabulary, semantic skills, and early developing terminology. They are interactive books so this will also allow me to work on receptive language skills, such as following directions.
