My Project

Creative collaborative thinkers abound in our classroom! These third graders are learning to think together and grow their minds each day.

We start each morning with a poem, and I want to add to our classroom collection.

Poetry not only teaches students to think outside the box, but it introduces them to figurative language and the sounds in words.

Word play is one of the most thrilling ways to help young readers imagine the possibilities in their lives through literature. Poems help students listen in a different way, and activate their imaginations.
