My Project

I am hoping to acquire a huge variety of poetry books for kids. Kids love silly poems, pretty poems, beautiful poems, rhyming poems, and on and on. It will be great to have poems for all tastes! We will read them together and practice them aloud for fluency, plus we will use them as models for kids to be inspired to write some of their own poems.

Poetry helps students develop fluency, comprehension, and writing skills!

Each of these books will find its way to the student who will enjoy it! If a student loves animals, there is a book. If a student loves predictable, rhyming poems, there are books for that. Nature poems, haikus, and shape poems will be available as well.

Ms. Kay will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 14.
