This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a music/theater teacher at an underfunded, underprivileged area of Queens. My student are eager learners, but don't always have the resources needed for a stellar education.

As a theater teacher, I encourage my children to learn proper speaking techniques and feeling comfortable speaking in both their native language and English.

70% of our kids are ELL's and need opportunities to both speak in their own language and then English. A podcasting station will do the trick. They will use it to create podcasts in any language and be encouraged to add music and sound to their podcasts.
