Help me give my students tools to communicate with their classmates and teachers in their native language while learning English. Pocketalks will give them the tools to build relationships with others as they acclimate to their new school.
Have you ever visited a country where you do not speak the same language as others? How did you feel? Did you yearn for a way to communicate? Our new multilingual students are valuable contributors of our school community and we need to provide the necessary tools for them to build relationships and communicate with their peers and teachers. Many of our students come to Hawaii with little to no English and often times feel isolated or excluded. Pocketalks will be a convenient way for our students to communicate with everyone on campus with ease and comfort. With protective cases, these Pocketalks can travel to different classrooms without the risk of damage. Please help us get these vital communication tools for our students.
