Plug in to Possibilities: Donate Headphones for Learning
Help me give my students a class set of headphones that are essential for helping my students understand digital content and work through lessons at a pace that suits their needs.
My students learn math concepts at different speeds. Headphones allow them to watch tutorials, listen to explanations, and complete interactive lessons at a pace that works best for them without distractions. Many 7th grade math programs include interactive software, video lessons, and audio support. Headphones make it possible for students to engage with these tools fully without disturbing their classmates. A classroom full of students working on different assignments like math rotations or station activities can get noisy. Headphones help each student focus on their own work, minimizing outside distractions and improving concentration.
Some students benefit from hearing instructions repeated or explained differently.
Headphones allow them to replay lessons, hear step-by-step breakdowns, and get the extra support they need without feeling singled out. As digital learning becomes more common, using headphones in class helps students build habits and skills they’ll need in high school, college, and beyond. For students who are English Language Learners, headphones provide an opportunity to hear math vocabulary and concepts clearly, sometimes even in their native language, improving their understanding.
