My Project
In a world where so much is digitalized and technology-use seems to be at the forefront, using digital music creation is a great way for students to learn and experiment with music. By using MIDI piano keyboards paired with their school devices, my students will be able to instantly hear their musical creations which will keep them more engaged and invested in their musical journeys. Even the beginners can experiment with loops, melodies, and harmonies, fostering creativity early on. It also encourages skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and self-directed learning. Students can practice at their own pace, repeat exercises, and track their progress over time.
MIDI keyboards also help a variety of learners: visual learners benefit from seeing notes on the screen, auditory learners hear immediate feedback from what they play, and kinesthetic learners engage through the physical act of playing the keys.
Essentially MIDI keyboards will make learning music more fun and interactive. They will support music literacy and creativity by teaching digital tools and 21st-century skills, and will help the music teacher differentiate and track student learning effectively.
