This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students need many chances to practice reading to be even better readers. Just like anything in life practice makes you better. The students I work with are two to three years behind in reading. So they need to practice with decodable books that have the phonics pattern(s) that have been taught.

These sets of books will give many students a plethora of opportunities in text with specific phonics patterns that have been taught.

My students will be able to take these books home to practice and show off what they have learned. They will feel success and in turn continue to feel good about reading.
