This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning to love reading is one of the most valuable things our students can gain from their elementary school experience. It will help them throughout the rest of their academic careers and enrich the rest of their lives.
In order for students to develop a love for reading, they need to have access to rich, exciting, and representative classroom libraries (both digital and physical).
While our classroom has a great deal of digital reading resources, we are in need of an updated and plentiful physical library. The books can be used for books clubs,
projects, leveled reading, and independent reading time. I have selected a variety of culturally responsive, high interest, and inclusive texts for our class library. Thank you so much for your time!
