This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My writing classes feature Pleasure Reading Mondays. Students have the opportunity to read for fun and internalize language structure that will help them with their writing. Students have taken a survey for me to gage in which genres and specific titles they are interested.
By giving students the agency to choose to read books that they are already interested in, students will more readily read and develop their language skills.
I can see the difference between the writing of readers and non-readers. Everyone can write, and reading for fun is a crucial step!
