As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience.
My music room is full of awesome and hardworking students.
They come from very diverse backgrounds and financial needs. We are proud of these differences and the students enjoy learning from each other.
My Project
For the sake of my young musicians, their Band Director and all those who are listening, please help my give my young musicians the gift of tuning their instruments.
We are very fortunate to have several tuners in our Band room, but we need batteries to keep them working.
My young musicians are all just beginning their instrumental music journeys and need assistance with learning how to tune their instruments quickly and accurately. In these early stages, my young musicians' musical ears are just developing and they can only tune their instruments through the help of electronic tuners, which need batteries to keep working.
