Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the special education teacher, in an ICT classroom, who is in need of flexible seating. I believe that flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and help them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. One way I can incorporate that environment is to have flexible seats, which will provide students with a sense of ownership of their learning. Students will use flexible seats during independent reading, guided reading, and shared reading. Students will have the opportunity to choose when and where they would like to sit.
These wobble/bouncy chairs will be very beneficial for my students who need to wiggle/bounce out their energy.
The bounce chairs I have selected are very important for my fifth-grade students. My students will be more engaged and use their energy positively as they read! My project will impact the excitement across all academic areas because students have comfortable seats that suits their needs.
