Dr. Wahid from Portsmouth VA is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need wobble discs and a stability stool so that they can move around as they sit and learn.

I have the sweetest class ever! I have 20 first graders. We are an inclusion class, so some of my students require special education.
My class gives students with disabilities the opportunity to learn alongside their non-disabled peers.
I'm the only teacher in the classroom. My students enjoy coming to school every day. Their favorite part of the day is when they get to read a book to their teacher. Our school is located in Portsmouth and is a Title I school, which means that the majority of the students come from low-income households. Our school receives free breakfast, lunch, and snack daily. Many students come to school without the proper school supplies.
We have so much fun in my class, and the kids love to learn! Please help me to teach them in fun and engaging ways.
An uncomfortable first grader is a distracted student. Our classroom needs more comfortable places to learn. We would like a stability seat that will keep my first graders upright as they wiggle and fidget while sitting. It will be placed at one of our tables and rotated weekly, along with our other alternative seating, so that all of the students may have a chance to use sit. We would also like wobble discs so that we can sit on the floor and wobble as we do our work.
Little kids don't like to sit down.
We are tired of sitting in chairs all day. This flexible seating will allow us to wobble, rock, and fidget as we complete our work.
