Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to enrich the lives of my students with engaging read alouds. These books will allow children to learn about the world, gain new vocabulary, make comections with their own lives, provide humor, and help build comprehension skills.
Books open doors for students imaginations and learning.
Reading aloud to my preschool students provides a language rich environment and exposes them to new ideas.
These books will be integrated with the curriculum in my classroom and help reinforce math, science, social studies, social emotional, and language concepts.
Electronics seem to be everywhere right now and young children are not getting language rich learning opportunities as often. Reading aloud books to young children provides great opportunities for learning and connection.
