This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

In a world that's quickly changing before our very eyes, we don't want to be left in the dust. We want to be on the cutting edge of technology and we don't want lack of money to be the reason we fall behind the rest of the world. We want every opportunity to succeed!

My students attend one of the poorest schools in the city.

They come from economically poor backgrounds. But, what most lack financially, they make up for it in motivation. My kids want to learn! Now, the majority of my students don't even have a computer, much less an iPad, so this would be very exciting for them to have an opportunity to learn using the latest technology! They are very grateful of the smallest things, so an iPad would be greatly appreciated.

My Project

My students need an Apple iPad to connect to our Promethean board to enhance their technology skills in a new and exciting way! I will be able to do countless activities that are interactive with the students. There's a wealth of apps that pertain to math and science that my students could use to learn and review skills. I have a Promethean board, so it can project any activity to the board and allow for my students to come up and work the application. This allows all students the opportunity to be up and moving and participate in a fun and exciting way!
