Please Help with Supplies for Parker's Music and Art Room
My students need cameras to take pictures for the yearbook club, memory cards to store the pictures on, tempera cakes for painting activities, and refills of the paint.
Pablo Picasso said, "Every child is an artist." I truly believe this. As an art and teacher, my job is to expose children to as many different artistic experiences as possible. In my class, the entire school explores photography, painting, and much more. Please consider helping us explore art.

As the Fine Arts teacher, I teach the entire school. Every student comes to my room at least twice a week. Therefore, my classroom impacts the entire school. I believe that all children are artists and try to instill this value in them as well. It is my goal that when they leave my room, each student knows have worth and value. Art is a great way to teach this. Every student will find a medium that allows them to show their worth in some way.
My Project
In my art class, the students will use the tempera paints and refills for many different projects. We are constantly creating and exploring different ways to use paint. Tempera paint is the easiest medium for my students to use and is guaranteed to make each students successful.
The cameras and memory cards will be used by the yearbook club to document the year. There are at least 30 students in the yearbook club at any given time. The students compose the yearbook all by themselves by taking and editing the photos and the cameras are essential in this process. The students will learn photography skills as well as how to edit photos. The entire school uses the yearbook to reflect on all they have learned this year. The yearbook is one of our biggest student composed art projects.
This project will make a huge difference because it will effect the entire campus of students.
All 500 students will be using these materials at one point or another throughout the year. We are always short on painting supplies and cameras, and this donation would ensure that we have enough materials to last the year.
