Please Help Our Students Learn About Other Young People!

My students need 30 books in order to improve literacy and writing, including A Long Walk To Water by Linda Sue Park.

My Students

My students are very interested in social change and true life accounts. I would like my students to understand that they can access such information through books.

My students are unique, fun and inspiring!

My school is a small, public charter school on Long Island. We are housed in a 1928 school house, awaiting the completion of a new school building. This is the first year of an 8th grade section and the second year of a 7th grade section.

My Project

My students will use the materials to access new content a develop stronger literacy and writing skills. Students will use these resources in order to access Common Core aligned modules. My students will be able to discover a world that is much different than theirs and use their new knowledge to envision and create change.

Donations to this project will improve my classroom by allowing students to have equal access to materials, family resources will not determine materials.

This will change my students' lives for the better because each student will receive the same edition of the book and have equal access to materials.
