My students need daily geographical activities, a giant inflatable globe, biographies of U.S. prominent leaders, and examples of symbols and landmarks of the United States of America.

Help my students take an adventure! I am a second grade teacher who teaches reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. I work at a charter school in a low-income/high poverty area in a major inner city.
Geography and the history of the United States are two areas in which my students are fascinated. Unfortunately, I have a very limited supply of materials for my students to fully experience and grasp the amount of information that surrounds these two topics.
My students need a giant classroom globe that is large enough for them to be able to see all places on Earth near and far. Along with the globe, I would like for them to have daily geographical activities to ensure that they fully comprehend the locations of the places in which they learn about. I would also like for my students to have biographies of prominent U.S. leaders, as well as, materials that discuss U.S. landmarks and symbols. My students are very proud of the country in which they live and are captivated by the historical stories of the people and places that made our country what it is today.
Unfortunately, my students are products of their environment. Some of them have never traveled beyond their neighborhoods. With these resources you will give me the opportunity to teach my students how to use their imaginations to mentally explore places; past, present, and future; that they will hopefully have the chance to visit when they get older. You will also help to open up windows of opportunities they never knew existed.
