Many of them even helped unpack the boxes, asking, \"Are these for us?\" It was such a special moment to see how something as simple as a granola bar or fruit snack could make them feel seen, supported, and celebrated.\r\n\r\nI've been using the snacks as positive reinforcement during speech sessions, especially with my students on the autism spectrum who thrive with clear routines and rewards. One student, who typically struggles to participate, lit up with motivation when I said he could choose a snack if he did his work. He not only participated, but he achieved beyond expectations!\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on all kinds of goals, from using pronouns and expanding vocabulary to improving speech sound production. The snacks help keep their energy up and their focus strong, especially after long mornings in class. Our next step is working toward generalizing these communication skills into the classroom and home, and having motivated, engaged students makes that transition so much smoother.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in us.
