My Students
My students are awesome! I teach at a Philadelphia Public School that qualifies for Title I funding. My entire class qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students live in a single parent household and some of them are being cared for by a foster family or extended family members.
Despite the challenges my students face, they come each day with a great attitude.
Many of them have faced hardships that you would never want any child to ever experience. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn and progress.
My Project
All students are not confident enough to speak out loud in front of their peers. This project provides the Qball microphone needed to help the shy and quiet spoken students share their thoughts, ideas, and words with their class in a fun, exciting, and engaging way.
This project will help students find their voice and express themselves in class.
I believe that not only will students want to share more but will have some fun doing it. It will also allow me to be able to hear from across the room without having to try to navigate to them and put my head down next to their face which often makes them even more nervous.
