My students need 10+ eBooks for our Literacy, Math, Health and Social Studies time.

My Students

Do you remember the first time that you ever used an eBook? My first graders are just beginning to learn how to read and write. I want them to develop a love of reading in all areas of learning.

I teach 22 first graders in a Title 1 School located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. At the present time only a small percentage of my students are at the proper reading and math level. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.

My Project

I am hoping to get 12 eBooks for my first graders. These books will offer my 6 and 7 year olds a very engaging way to read books on a variety of topics. These books will not only will help my students to improve their reading, it will also help them to improve their addition and subtraction skills. In addition, these eBooks will enhance my students' knowledge of using maps. Lastly, the eBooks will improve my students' ability to know about proper nutrition, manners and safety.

These books will be a very exciting way for my students to develop a love of reading on a variety of topics. Please help my first graders be the best that they can be.
