This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are PreK-8th grade students in special education. They are fun and eager to learn.

They do need a fun and interactive way to be taught and this keeps me on my toes, always looking for new ways to engage them.

Ninety-eight percent of students in my school qualify for free lunch and come from low-income / high-poverty neighborhoods.

My Project

I am asking for a mobile cart (10 plastic drawers on a rolling base) that I can use to organize my therapy worksheet materials for my students.

As an Occupational Therapist, I have students of significantly different academic and physical ability levels in the same classroom and I use therapy materials suited to each of their abilities.

When I can get access to a printer, I try to print materials in advance preparing for the following weeks.

This cart would allow me to organize and store pre-printed materials by ability level and then easily retrieve them as needed for therapy sessions.
