Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We will be a new 4th grade class on a K-6 campus of a K-12 school. We are brothers and sisters, athletes and scholars, students and teachers but most of all friends. Our love of learning is matched only by our desire to be entrepreneurs. We love to invent, be creative and explore our curiosities and READ.

We represent the future of athletics, education, medicine, business and politics.

As a financially struggling charter school, sometimes the things we need can be passed over, but they are the tools we need to be successful.

My Project

I have been a teacher for 13 years and this is my first time teaching 4th grade. Since it is a new class for our school, they need a library. We are an outstanding charter school, but as it happens we are short a school library. This is why a classroom library is so essential.

Fostering a love of reading is so very important.

This is why my focus is on getting a variety of books to start our library to appeal to the diverse learners in my class. This is only a beginning of a great project for me, my school and my students.
