Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am teaching 4th grade this year, and my students are amazing and work so hard! My students are energetic, inquisitive, and love their school! They thrive in a learning environment that encourages them to take risks, try new things, and work through mistakes and failures. Many come from diverse backgrounds and homes that often do not afford the opportunity to experience the world outside of their own neighborhood. School offers them a gateway to the world beyond the neighborhood and the walls of the classroom.

My Project

I would love to give my students access to a wide variety of books to read in the classroom. When they are able to read many different genres of books, they are able to find books that they love to read.

The more books they have access to, the more they are able to grow as readers.

I would love to help them learn to love reading!

Please help me fund a wide variety of books for my students who come from many different backgrounds! They love their independent reading time and I want them to have access to many books!
