My Project

I am a first-year teacher who needs help! I started my new teaching job after Christmas break and I have been going strong since. My students love to read but have limited choices. I need help with my entire classroom regarding storage, but I feel like the library should be a priority. My students would benefit greatly from a classroom library with leveled and challenging reading material. Storage shelves would make organizing the books easier and more convenient for them as well. I read to my students daily and they appreciate the togetherness of reading while they sit in the floor. Being a first year teacher, I do not have any alternate seating so they sit directly on the tile floor. I know they would appreciate having something a little more comfortable to sit on such as a rug.

I went back to school to become an educator at an older age than most because this is what my heart and soul wants to do.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me! My bank account is dwindling due to purchasing things for my classroom on a steady basis.
