I work in a Title 1 high school. The majority of my students get 2 out of their 3 meals a day at school. As we know; teenagers are growing and need snacks throughout the day. Most of my students do not have access to snacks at home to bring to school or to have after school before their sports.
Many students in our school know they can come to my class to access snacks between classes or after school.
They love when they have the choice of a variety of different foods. It is so nice to see the smile on their face by just giving them a simple granola bar.
