Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My kindergarten children in East Elmhurst, NY have nicknamed me "The Dropping Teacher" because everything I touch seems to tumble to the floor. Although this may be partially due to my innate clumsiness, it is more likely a result of a lack of adequate storage and display tools. In order to cure the "dropsies" I am requesting funding for a Count and Keep Pocket chart to organize our ongoing count of days in school. We presently store our counting sticks in cups on an easel ledge and more than one child has just missed getting pummeled by pop sticks. The Count and Keep pocket chart can be firmly affixed to a wall so as not to pose a hazard. A Teacher's Chair Pocket Tote will also help organize items I need to have close at hand when we gather as a group. Lastly, a Chart Stand will help to stabilize and display the many poems and charts that I use on a daily basis and spare my children from having to duck for cover as they inevitably slip out of my hands. Thank you for your time and attention. My wonderful children and I appreciate your help...you may also help to find a permanent cure for the "dropsies," and for that we will be extremely grateful!
