it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In Biology, we study many subjects but one that is often most difficult for the students is understanding human anatomy. The human body is very complicated and made up of a variety of systems. Visual aids are a necessity.
This skeleton is a life-size model replica of a human specimen, including all 206 bones.
By having a classroom skeleton, they will have a visual tool that can be used to help them realize what is beneath our skin and muscles. It accurately displays how our vertebrae are positioned, the ball/socket mechanism that allows our hip movements, the unique structure of our hands, and a removable skull.
Most importantly, it also aids in lessons about evolution. When we are teaching about homologous structures, we need models that show that our bone structure is shared with other species. This skeleton is an invaluable tool for this key concept.
