My Students
"Life is all about taking risks to get what you want." Adam Lambert. I'm taking a risk for my students. I'm going out on a limb here, asking for your help. But they are worth the risk!
I teach a fabulous group of 4th graders at a Fine and Performing Arts school in Michigan.
Our area has been severely effected by the recent struggles of the auto industries. My students have a passion for music and art. As a result of this, I use music in my classroom daily. They love listening to music, even if it's about Math or English!
My Project
I am requesting an iPod Touch and a docking station to organize songs that we listen to and sing as a class. Music is very important in my classroom, because many of my students learn through music. With this iPod, we would be able to keep our music library more accessible to everyone.
This project is important because it will help my students retain information and enjoy doing so.
We will listen to our music on this iPod without have to sift through an endless pile of Cd's. I can use a song during Language Arts and not have to worry about whether or not I'll be able to find the song I want to use for Math later. All of our songs will be organized on play lists, virtually deleting the time we spend searching for songs.
