My Students

"Give a child a fish and you'll feed him for a day, teach a child how to fish and you'll feed him for a life time" I have the best group of students in the world. I want to teach them organization skills by providing them with storage seat covers so that they can organize their books and supplies.

We are a Title I school; the majority of our students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

But I have the best students in the world; they value education so much and they want to learn. My students have exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Our school cares about the education of all of our students. We are always trying to do what is best for our kids so that they can be successful learners. We want all of our students to exit elementary with a goal in mind, we want all of them to go to college. My first graders talk about the colleges they want to go to. I just need to give them the tools so that their dream of going to college can become a reality some day.

My Project

I am requesting 26 storage seat covers to keep our classroom organize and efficient. Parent communication is an integral part of student success. I like to send home progress reports, work the students have done in class, and important documents. The problem is we don't have cubbies for the class because it takes too much space. I keep all of their work in recycle boxes. Our classroom is very small; we do not have space for the student's backpacks, their supply boxes, or their books. They have to place all of their books and boxes on the floor under their chairs. It has caused some problems because students are tripping over their stuff. The seat covers will solve this big problem because students will have space on the back of their seats to organize books, supply boxes, and communication papers that have to go home. They'll even have space to keep the work they need to take home. This will solve dismissal problems we've been having and it will make our class more efficient.

The seat covers will make a big impact in our classroom.

We will have the space that we need to organize books, school supplies, and important papers that need to go home. Students will not need to leave their seats when we are dismissing class because they will have everything they need right there with them. This will prevent future accidents. Students will learn organization skills which is an important skill needed to succeed.
