My Students

Do you remember when you did not know how to read? Many of my students are struggling with their reading skills.

I teach 2nd grade in an impoverished area in Philadelphia.

One third of my students come from non-English speaking homes. My students are very sweet and love to learn and everyone who meets them falls in love with them. They are constantly requesting to play literacy games and read stories on the computer. Our literacy program is computer based.

My Project

I will be able to give my students computer time. They can learn to do research, type and use interactive games to improve their educational experience. A MacBook Pro will help them to improve their reading skills. They will read stories and play literacy games on our new computer.

My students deserve the best educational opportunities I can offer them.

I want them to be able to achieve to their highest potential. Nothing should hold them back. Please help to make our dreams come true.
