Please Bring Digital SLR Cameras To My Graphic Design Class!

My students need digital cameras to learn basic elements of photography, photo editing, and how it can relate to graphic design.

My Students

My students have so much heart. I give them a task and they constantly go above and beyond my wildest expectations of what they can do. This past school year, I entered a competition and the end prize, if my students and I were successful, meant that I would win a classroom computer cart. They tried their best and really put forth such a wonderful effort. I'm incredibly proud of them and want to see them succeed. Oh, and we won the cart!

My Project

My project funds 3 Digital SLR cameras for my Digital Arts class. The class focuses on graphic design--and my students have done an absolutely amazing job so far with their artwork. My school does not offer a traditional photography class and these cameras would give students the opportunity to learn and grow in the area of photography and artistic design.

My students have asked, begged, and plead with me to look for grants/opportunities so they have access to Digital SLR cameras.

Many of my students dream of careers in photography and this would give them hands on experience with a Digital SLR and photo editing software.
