My Students

My third graders are creative, inspiring, innovative, and active. I am so grateful to spend my day learning alongside them. These students are involved in so many activities inside and outside of school, both in the community and outside. Our school itself, is a low-income school, in a rural community.

My students are eager to try new things and use their passions for good, and that's why I believe it's my job to give them the education they deserve to receive.

Our class is made up of so many dreamers and inventors, and I can't wait to see where the world takes them.

My Project

I've noticed that some of my students learn better when they are provided with alternative seating. Incorporating new seating will not only provide more opportunities for growth and learning but help students to find ways that they learn best in the classroom many areas of study.

Many of my students know what helps them to be successful in the classroom, and have requested items like wobble chairs and bungee chairs.

It is my desire to create a classroom climate that is inclusive and helps to meet children where they are at.

Many names come to mind when thinking about students who will benefit from being able to move their body while listening and participating in lessons. Through the incorporation of wobble chairs, I will be able to provide them with a non-distracting tool that will help them learn better.

Our quiet time chairs have gotten very worn down and with the help of a couple more chairs, students will be able to take time to recharge independently and will be given more choice in their seating in the classroom.
